Randall L. “Randy” Feenstra (born January 14, 1969, age 55) is a businessman and conservative Republican currently serving as the state senator from Iowa's 2nd upper legislative district.

2020 U.S. House election in Iowa's 4th district

Republican primary

Having ran for United States House of Representatives in 2020 to primary challenge the anti-establishment, movement conservative Steve King after the latter was the target of vicious media bullying in addition to being excessively rebuked by the House GOP leaders, Feenstra won the primary by just under 10% of the vote over Rep. King[1] after the establishment heavily favored him. His victory was congratulated by Donald Trump,[2] who broke with King after the latter made strongly pro-life statements that drew hysteria from pro-abortion leftists.[3]

General election

For the general election coinciding with the 2020 U.S. presidential election, Feenstra faced Democrat J.D. Scholten, the 2018 loser to Steve King[4] who had won his primary uncontested.[1] Feenstra easily won the general election in the solidly Republican district.[5]
