A racist remark is one which uses racist language in an offensive way. Different people have different standards of what is racist or offensive. The following chart shows remarks by various well-known people, along with reactions from the American left and right.
Person | Remark | Left | Right |
Obama | blacks are "sort of a mongrel people"(see transcript) | no problem | Rick Moran: a "little gaffe" |
Post-2009 racism
Beginning in January 2009 racist remarks were redefined by the liberal media and progressives to mean any criticism, even on a policy level in public discourse, of the President of the United States.
Since January of 2017, the liberal media, progressives, and the Democratic party leadership have become vapidly racist in tone, attitude, and outlook.
