Plano is a city in Texas, although originally a suburb of Dallas it has grown to be a sizeable city in its own right, with almost 300,000 people.

Ranking among the most conservative American cities
It is fifth in the list of most conservative American cities.[1]
However, recent relocations of liberal Californians (seeking to escape the results of their liberal policies, yet voting the same way upon relocation) have turned Plano (and Collin County in general) into a much less reliably conservative base.
Prestonwood Baptist Church, a multi-site Southern Baptist megachurch, has its main campus in west Plano.
Barbara Staff, a co-manager of Ronald Reagan's crucial 1976 primary victory over U.S. President Gerald Ford, resides in Plano.
