Philadelphia in 1776

Philadelphia is the largest city in Pennsylvania, and the sixth most populous city in the United States.

The name "Philadelphia" comes from the Book of Revelation in the New Testament:

Philadelphia was chosen to become 'the city of my God, the New Jerusalem which comes down from my God out of heaven' whose residents 'kept my word and have not denied my name.' The combination of Penn’s reference to Pennsylvania as the fifth kingdom, and naming the city 'Philadelphia' pointed to Penn’s belief that Pennsylvania was a place chosen by God whose residents were favored because of their holy living. Penn named the centerpiece community of his new province after biblical Philadelphia for a reason: the imagery enhanced the expectation for Quakers and other inhabitants to act in such a way as to please God. By accepting the charter as God’s providence, Penn took on the responsibility of God’s investment in Pennsylvania. By naming the place after scriptural ideals, Penn assumed the settlers’ behavior would reflect belief in specific biblical principles. He linked specific and expected types of practices to the world’s end.

Liberals obscure or deny the express biblical basis for the naming of Philadelphia. The city's sports fans do little to help: they have regularly been named among the worst in America (notorious for booing Santa Claus and cheering injured opposing team players).

Philadelphia was a very important city in the history of the United States. It was home to the First and Second Continental Congresses, and was the location for the drafting and signing of the Declaration of Independence at Independence Hall. The Constitutional Convention was also held in Philadelphia. The city was temporarily the capital of the United States, before it was permanently settled in Washington, D.C.

Philadelphia's last Republican mayor was elected in 1952. In the intervening years since 1952, the city government and police department under Democrat administrations has been accused of systemic racism. Liberal racist Jim Kenney is the current mayor of Philadelphia.

Economy

The Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC) helped preserve urban manufacturing jobs as part of an industrial renewal effort during 1953-76. The PIDC, a nonprofit, quasi-public authority, was created in 1958 in a joint effort between Mayor Richardson H. Dilworth and the chamber of commerce to implement an industrial renewal project. Using industrial mortgages, funds were raised for the construction and renovation of small to medium-sized manufacturing plants on undeveloped land in and around Philadelphia. The PIDC is credited with having moderated the loss of industrial jobs in Philadelphia.

History

Philadelphia's city hall was once the tallest building in the world, and the statue of William Penn on top of it is currently the tallest statue on a building.

Politics

Sheriff Rochelle Bilial would not enforce a court order to allow GOP election observers to watch ballot counting during the Biden Putsch.

The city of Philadelphia has a majority of voters affiliated with the Democrat Party. As of November, 2008, there are 1,126,768 registered voters in Philadelphia. Of those, 880,684 are registered with the Democrat Party, and 147,074 are registered with the Republican Party. Despite overwhelming evidence of voter suppression by New Black Panther Party members Minister King Samir Shabazz, Malik Zulu Sha-Bazz, and Jerry Jackson at a Philadelphia polling office, they were acquitted with minimal charges by the U.S. Department of Justice, then under Attorney General Eric Holder. Holder, when questioned about his rationale, said he didn't want to prosecute "my people" (thus implying that he holds bias against white voters and for minorities, and that attempts to bring justice to people who violated the Voting Rights Act is comparable to what happened to Blacks in Charleston during the Civil Rights era).

In the 2012 presidential election, Republican polling inspectors were blocked from polling places in the Democrat-ruled city. Rob Gleason, chairman of the Pennsylvania Republican Party, stated, "This was a shameless attempt from the Obama campaign to suppress our legally appointed Republican poll watchers." Barack Obama received 100% of the vote in 59 Philadelphia precincts with zero votes for Mitt Romney.

Philadelphia has not elected a Republican mayor since 1952 and has a poverty rate twice the national average.

Sanctuary city

Philadelpia is a sanctuary city.

In October 2021, it was reported that a woman was raped on a SEPTA train by an illegal Congolese immigrant in front of 10 passengers who did not come to the aid of the victim. The incident lasted 30 minutes as the train went through 27 stops over 40 miles. The other passengers filmed the incident with their cell phones.The alleged assailant had been in the country since 2015, had illegal drug and sexual abuse convictions and was never deported.

2020 Marxist insurrection

Biden supporters rammed a pick-up truck through a line of 30 police officers.

By mid 2020 shootings were up 67%, victims of armed violence up 29%, homicides up 25% while Philadelphia's Democrats were slashing PD by $19 million. BLM terrorists marched through the streets chanting "Death to America!" White Antifa rioters led the alleged "protests" and assaulted conservative activists. A Philadelphia school teacher was charged with arson of two police vehicles. 7-year-old Zamar Jones, who had aspired to become a police officer, was murdered on the porch of his home in the midst of street thugs recklessly firing bullets, one of which hit Jones.

Two Philadelphia police officers were placed under scrutiny after they refused to allow 27-year-old Walter Wallace to stab them in a violent frenzy. After retreating from the confrontation; and after being chased by Mr. Wallace; the officers eventually shot and killed the attacker. Black Lives Matter and the Philadelphia social justice network immediately activated to steal electronics, loot retail stores and start fires in a quest to achieve "justice" for Wallace. The police were overwhelmed and the looting continued across the city of brotherly love while the media called their behavior “protesting” in the final week before the 2020 presidential election.

Racism and hate ruled the night. Anti-Semitic BLM rioters accosted a group of Jews and told them, "Get the f**k out" and that they are of the "Synagogue of Satan.” Democrat social justice warriors set fire to a Vietnamese-American Baptist church.

Biden Putsch

Biden, who beat Barack Obama’s popular vote record, received several tens of thousands of more votes than registered Democrats in the above counties. The Biden votes are unusually in excess of ~244,000.

Trump led by almost 800,000 votes on election night after most Americans headed to bed. Over the course of the next 72 hours, President Trump’s lead shrunk to less than a 95,000 vote lead in the keystone state, and then Joe Biden took the lead. Batches of votes started flowing into the final tally, mostly in favor of Joe Biden. Five Thirty Eight reported that “Two more batches of Pennsylvania vote were reported: 23,277 votes in Philadelphia, all for Biden."

The Pennsylvania Appeals Court issued an order that said

“effective immediately … all candidates, watchers, or candidate representatives [shall] be permitted to be present for the canvassing process … and be permitted to observe all aspects of the canvassing process within 6 feet, while adhering to all COVID-19 protocols, including, wearing masks and maintaining social distancing.”

Philadelphia Democrat election officials refused to comply with the order, and the Democrat Sheriff, a Biden supporter, refused to enforce the Appeals Court order. The Trump campaign then filed a lawsuit in federal district court claiming that the Board of Elections is “nonetheless continuing to count ballots, without any observations by any representatives or poll watchers of President Trump and the Republican Party.”

Naked ballots in Philadelphia

Although local officials and celebrities engaged in media campaigns to encourage voters to send in their ballots in the secrecy envelope, some Pennsylvania counties reached out to voters after they had cast naked ballots.

Philadelphia County reportedly sent a “notification” to voters who had cast inadequate ballots, urging them to “cure” the ballots. “To figure out which voters should be notified, Philadelphia County had to inspect the mail-in ballots before election day—in plain violation of state law,” the lawsuit alleges.

Other counties — such as Lancaster, York, Westmoreland, and Berks Counties — “did not contact voters who submitted defective ballots or give them an opportunity to cure. They simply followed the law and treated these ballots as invalid and refused to count them.”

“Because the counties that followed state law and did not provide a cure process are heavily Republican (and counties that violated state law and did provide a cure process are heavily Democratic), Defendants’ conduct harmed the Trump Campaign. It deprived the President of lawful votes and awarded his opponent with unlawful votes.”

682,770 estimated ballots processed with no observers

The lawsuit cites many examples in which election officials prevented poll-watchers from observing the counting of votes, as required by state law.

The lawsuit claims that Trump campaign observers were denied access altogether in some instances in Philadelphia County. The county’s elections board did not permit the Trump campaign’s observers to be within 6 feet of “all aspects” of the pre-canvassing process in violation of Commonwealth Court Judge Christine Fizzano Cannon’s November 5, 2020, order requiring that poll-watchers “be permitted to observe all aspects of the canvassing process within 6 feet.” The lawsuit states,

“It is estimated that 680,770 ballots were processed by the Allegheny and Philadelphia County Boards of Elections when no observation was allowed.”

Sports

Philadelphia is the home of the NFL's Eagles, the Phillies of the MLB, the NBA's 76ers, and the NHL's Flyers. All four teams are housed in one geographical area, the South Philadelphia Sports Complex (the only such arrangement in any major city, easily accessible by car and public transportation).
