Paul Craig Roberts
Paul Craig Roberts (April 3, 1939 in Atlanta) is an economist and syndicated columnist. He is a former Asssistant Secretary of the Treasury in the Reagan Administration. and claims to be the "Father of Reaganomics". He is a prominent paleoconservative. He was a former member of the Republican Party, but is now Independent.
He has been very critical of the economic policies of the Bush Administration and also of its handling of foreign policy. He strongly opposed the 2003 invasion of Iraq. He disagrees with the idea "that the U.S. was forced into invading Iraq because of the Sept. 11 attack on the WTC." [1] Roberts believes that the Bush Administration has severely weakened America during its time in office. He has stated that the end of the "US Empire" is now inevitable.[2]
He has written several columns about the provocative attitude of the Obama Administration towards Russia, which could lead to a war in Europe, thus referring to the wars in Syria and Ukraine where both parties are involved.
