Patricia(Patty) Campbell Hearst is a granddaughter of newspaper publisher William Randolph Hearst. In 1974, she was abducted by members of the Symbionese Liberation Army and subjected to brutal torture, rape, and brainwashing.

For her role in the Hibernia Bank robbery, she was sentenced and served 21 months[1] in prison. Her sentence was commuted by Jimmy Carter, with her conviction remaining on record until 2001 when she received a full pardon from Bill Clinton.
