NewsGuard is a Microsoft browser extension that blacklists conservative organizations and news websites.[1][2][3] It has been praised by leftists[4] and neocons.[5]
Tim Pool, a classical liberal who is aware of the extension's biases,[6] uses NewsGuard to determine which sources to use for his YouTube videos. He has noted that it gives The Daily Wire a poor rating while accepting BuzzFeed News as a reliable source of information.[7]
Gordon Crovitz, co-CEO of the organization, wrote an article for The Daily Caller in defense of NewsGuard, asserting that it has no political bias.[8]
