Mosul

Mosul is a city in Iraq with about 2,000,000 inhabitants.

In 2014 it was taken over by the terrorist group Islamic State. Since then the persecution of Christians has increased. Christians were forced to pay "Protection taxes", to convert to Islam or to leave Mosul if not they will be killed.[1] The Iraqi army fully retook Mosul in July 2017.[2][3][4]
