Molybdenum

Molybdenum is a transition metal that is a chemical element with the atomic number of 42. It is an essential trace element for most life forms, and is important to the function of enzymes in humans.[1] It is used also as an alloying metal (that is, combined with other metals), and is thus important in industrial technology.[2]
