Michelle Eunjoo Steel is a South Korean-born American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for California's 48th congressional district.[1] She concurrently serves as a member of House Minority Whip Steve Scalise's team for the 117th Congress.
She has had a generally moderate Republican voting record. However, this is due to her coming from a district that Joe Biden won. She is one of two Korean Republicans in Congress. The other is Young Kim
