Metazoa are multicellular organisms. Traditionally, Linnaean taxonomy classified all of life into two domains: Protozoa (unicellular) and Metazoa (multicellular).[1] While unicellular life has since been shown to include different forms (prokaryotes, eukaryotes, archaebacteria), all metazoans are eukaryotic.[2]
Metazoans comprise all the animals, plants, and fungi on the planet.
