From Conservapedia
The Matterhorn is one of the world's most famous mountains, located in the Pennine Alps, which is a mountain range located on the border of Switzerland and Italy.[3][4]
Since the first ascent, over 500 people have died while climbing or descending the Matterhorn — an average of three to four per year.[5] About 3,000 people summit the Matterhorn annually.[6]
