Majdanek

Majdanek was a Nazi concentration and extermination camp located in Poland. It was established in 1941, originally as a POW camp for Soviets [1]. After the 1942 Wannsee Conference which finalized plans for the annihilation of all European Jews, it was converted into a concentration camp with Zyklon B gas chambers. The camp was liberated by Soviet soldiers on July 24, 1944.
