Obama's Failed Presidency: New Polling Numbers Plunge

Obama-socialist-2.jpg

The president continues to suffer from upside-down job ratings, and the number who thinks he will be re-elected is down significantly -- just 29% of Voters. Expectations for Obama's presidency have declined: 29 percent of voters expect Obama to rate as either “one of the country’s greatest” or as a “good” president. That’s down from 43 percent who felt that way a year ago -- and down dramatically from 62 percent who had similarly high expectations soon after he was elected (December 2008).

Looking ahead to 2012, some 29 percent of voters predict Obama will be re-elected, down from 44 percent who thought so a year ago. Sixty-four percent now don’t think Obama will win another term, up from 46 percent in December 2009. [1]

Pat Toomey Becomes the Latest to Cave To The Homosexual Agenda, making a gratuitous announcement after he was elected that he supports repeal of DADT. [2] He will not even be voting on the current bill; the timing of his statement helps liberals.

Marine Corps Commandant: "Distraction" of Gays Serving Openly Could Cost Marines Limbs.

USMCseal.jpg

Using graphic imagery and his strongest language to date, the new Marine Corps commandant spoke out again Tuesday against a repeal of the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy, this time suggesting that a change in the law would risk maiming Marines because of the "distraction." In a background briefing with a handful of Pentagon reporters, Gen. James Amos said a repeal of the law that bans gays from openly serving could prove to be a life-threatening distraction for combat Marines. [14]

Revolt!
Republicans Angry About Omnibus Spending Bill Decry "Nightmare Before Christmas"

Republicans poring over a 1,924-page overarching spending bill proposed by congressional Democrats and the Obama administration to cover the rest of the fiscal year are threatening to grind the legislation to a halt, citing hidden earmarks and massive spending that would be enacted into law without a review process. Devolving into pandemonium, a source said "all hell is breaking loose" ahead of a Republican policy lunch in which Sens. Tom Coburn of Oklahoma and Jim DeMint of South Carolina were expected to insist the omnibus bill be read in its entirety by the clerk on the Senate floor before a vote is held.

Republican leader (and soon to be Speaker) John Boehner is apparently warning that if the Senate sends over the bill as it is, "We will work to kill it." [18]

Phony Liberals: After taking great offense at a Republican shouting "You lie!" at Obama during his 2009 State of the Union (which has now been shown to be a fact), New York Times columnist Carl Hulse devoted a mere seven words to a Democrat's "F*** the President" outburst. This story details the liberal double standard.

Study: Teens Using More Marijuana, Less Alcohol. The key findings:

  • Some 6.1% of high-school seniors reported using marijuana this year, up from 5.2% in 2009
  • On the other hand, binge drinking is on the decline from 25.2% in 2009, down to 23.2% this year.
  • Use of Ecstasy, which had declined in the early 2000s, is on the increase again. [19]

Mitt Romney, along with Michele Bachmann and Jim DeMint, opposes the phony "tax deal" being pushed by Harry Reid through Congress, while Newt Gingrich and Mike Huckabee support it. [20] The presidential race heats up for the Republican nomination. [21]

Sandoval Supports Obamacare Law Rejection. Nevada Governor-elect Brian Sandoval said Monday that he was pleased a federal judge rejected a key provision of the Obama administration's health care law, ruling the requirement that people buy insurance is unconstitutional. "As I've noted before, I see the constitutional question created by the health care bill as monumental in all future matters involving states' rights," said Sandoval, who was a federal judge before resigning to run for governor. Green Jobs Not Growing As Obama Promised. The Obama Administration channeled $90 billion of the $870 billion dollar Economic stimulus package towards the new green economy. But two years into the Obama administration, the White House has reported it's helped create 224,500 green jobs, far short of the 5 million it had openly predicted. [23]

Michael Goodwin: "Messiah Obama Has Only Himself to Blame."

Viewed with the long lens, the uncivil war between President Obama and liberal Democrats is merely another example of the gradual awakening of Obamabots. The big story of the last two years is how millions of Americans who voted for him have concluded he's not the man they thought he was. [29]

Conservapedia's article on Barack Hussein Obama has all the information you need to know why -- unlike Wikipedia's fawning, slobbering puff-piece.

Judge Strikes Major Blow Against Socialism...

U.S. District Judge Henry Hudson sides with the state of Virginia against ObamaCare. Casting an unmistakable and perhaps permanent pockmark on the face of the Obama administration, Judge Hudson ruled that the major component of the new health care reform law is unconstitutional. He rejects the notion that individuals are required to purchase health insurance. That setback for Barack Hussein Obama guarantees the U.S. Supreme Court will have to review the decision -- the last place Obama & Company wanted it to go.

The lawsuit is just one of nearly two dozen challenges filed in federal courts across the country. Another high-profile suit filed in Florida and joined by 20 states and the National Federation of Independent Businesses will go before Federal Judge Roger Vinson this Thursday. [31] Read the ruling

Rather than go mano y mano in a real debate with William Lane Craig, Richard Dawkins proves once again he has no machismo. Conservapedia recently learned that Dawkins took part in a atheist debate panel vs. theist debate panel where each speaker spoke very briefly in surroundings that featured something resembling a disco light show and a boxing ring.VIDEO In short, it was a faux debate and certainly not a real debate.

Message to Mr. Dawkins: Will you ever venture out of your "intellectual bunny hole"? No doubt, He who sits in the heavens laughs at your cowardice.

Obama's Tax Cut Deal is Second 'Stimulus,' Top Economist Says. Mark Zandi, Moody's chief economist, told Fox News's Chris Wallace that even if others aren't using the word to refer to the tax cut agreement between some Republicans and President Obama, he is calling it just that. "It's stimulus in the sense we're providing some additional temporary tax cuts and some additional temporary spending increases, so I'm not sure what the difference is between what we're talking about here and what we did back in early '09," Zandi said. Another Failed Presidency...

Barack Obama is on track to have the most spectacularly failed presidency since Woodrow Wilson. Barack Obama is failing. Failing big. Failing fast. And failing everywhere: foreign policy, domestic initiatives, and most importantly, in forging connections with the American people. The incomparable Dorothy Rabinowitz writing in the Wall Street Journal put her finger on it: He is failing because he has no understanding of the American people, and may indeed loathe them. [38] Clarice Feldman of American Thinker produced a dispositive commentary showing that Obama is failing because fundamentally he is neither smart nor articulate; his intellectual dishonesty is conspicuous by its audacity and lack of shame. Arizona Regains Footing in Legal Battle Over Immigration Law. After suffering a major legal setback in the summer, Arizona and Governor Jan Brewer regained their footing in court Friday when a federal judge dismissed major parts of the Justice Department's challenge to the state's new immigration law and rejected several claims made by Hispanic activists and the liberal Phoenix police union. More bad news for Barack Obama & Company as yet another cornerstone of his liberal policy foundation is kicked out from under him and his failed presidency. [40]

WikiLeaks Cyberwar Runs Afoul of the Law. Computer vandals working in defense of WikiLeaks cloak their actions in civil rights imagery, but experts say that international law bans their criminal behavior. Chester Wisniewski, a senior security advisor with Sophos, confirmed that hack assaults using the LOIC tool is a violation of U.S. law. "In the United States, yes, it would be a breach of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act to intentionally attack a website in the U.S. with the intent of denying or disrupting service," Wisniewski told FoxNews.com. Other experts have stated that comparing their actions to 1960's civil disobedience is all well and good, but U.S. and International laws call it something else: criminal. [53]

Senator Coburn: Federal Spending Bill a 'Trojan Horse' for Obamacare.

Senator Tom Coburn denounced the $18 billion in provisions added to a catchall spending bill to keep the government running through next year, saying they're a "Trojan horse to fund the new federal health care law." Coburn noted that the Senate version would provide $19 million to the IRS for dictating health insurance under the new law; $6.25 billion to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for new health reform programs, and $210 million to the Health Resources and Services Administration for public health workforce programs.

Coburn noted that the bill spends $12 million on an unelected panel of bureaucrats that Coburn says "will issue costly mandates, make coverage decisions for all Americans, and could deny patient choice under the guise of 'prevention.'" In other words it is a "Death Panel". [56]

BREAKING: Angry Brat Protesters in London have violently attacked a car containing Prince Charles, the heir to the British throne, and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. COLLISIONCOURSE FoxNews.jpg

The House and the Senate appear to be on a collision course over the president's controversial tax plan, after House Democrats, wanting to raise taxes, voted to block the package from coming to the floor in its current form.

As Obama and Vice-President Biden work feverishly to get Democrats on board for a tax/stimulus plan forged with Senate Republicans, conservative opposition to the deal is emerging.

While only two Republican Senators - Ohio's George Voinovich and South Carolina's Jim DeMint - are officially on the record as "nay" votes, opinion makers like Tom Coburn of Oklahoma, Sarah Palin and Senator-to-be Rand Paul are starting to express grave concerns about the huge deficit spending in the measure. [59]

It's kinda like we're the Titanic here in America, and everybody says, ‘The bar's open. We'll just have a party the next two weeks. We're gonna spend another $900 billion! -- Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) on the Senate floor.

Anarchy in the U.K. as Tuition Hike Passes...

Spoiled Socialist and Atheist Brats In U.K. Rioted Again Today. Up to 40,000 school pupils, college pupils and university students agitated against tuition and fee increases in London today, as they marched down Whitehall – the location of ugly scenes during the past two student protests. Today was no different as the spiffs threw rocks, bottles and attacked the police with their fists to show their displeasure at being asked to carry their own weight, something rare in socialist countries. The solution is simple: Expel the brats who are partaking in the violent and destructive protests, use the savings to pay the increases. The U.K. needs another Margaret Thatcher! [60] VIDEO

WikiLeaks Supporters Launch Vandal Attacks on Sarah Palin.

The website of Sarah Palin's political action committee came under cyberattack from supporters of Wikileaks and its founder, Julian Assange, the former Alaska governor said Wednesday. Rebecca Mansour, a SarahPAC aide, told The Associated Press that staff moved quickly to secure the website and no data was compromised. Mansour also said Palin's husband, Todd, had been contacted by Visa and was told "a company in London was trying to access his account this afternoon for verification." Visa advised him to quickly close his credit card accounts, and he did, Mansour said.

The 2008 vice presidential candidate told ABC News it's an example of what happens "when you exercise the First Amendment and speak against his sick, un-American espionage efforts." In a posting on the social networking site Facebook last week, Palin called Assange "an anti-American operative with blood on his hands." She questioned why he wasn't "pursued with the same urgency we pursue al-Qaida and Taliban leaders." [61]

Beck is both Conservative and Christian. Atheists don't build hospitals, and typically self-absorbed Liberals donate far less to charity than Conservatives. [63]

Liberal Values = Criminal Hacking and Terrorist Threats:

Terrorism wikimedia.png

In an unprecedented assault described by fuzzy-minded liberals as "civil disobedience" which in reality is criminal hacking, and Internet vandalism, supporters of WikiLeaks struck out Wednesday at perceived enemies of the site and its jailed founder Julian Assange, launching hack attacks against MasterCard, Swedish prosecutors, and others -- and promising future attacks against Twitter, PayPal and even FoxNews.com. The "hacktivists", really just plain terrorists, operating under the label Operation: Payback, claimed responsibility in a Twitter message for causing the outages at MasterCard, which pulled the plug on its relationship with WikiLeaks on Tuesday. An online poster put out by the campaign makes its goals explicit.

When will Attorney General Eric Holder and President Obama demand Assange be indicted and extradited to the United States so he can be thrown in prison with other terrorists? [65]

Obama Surrenders! - - All Bush-Era Tax Cuts to Be Extended!

Arrogant obama.jpg

President Obama outlined the "framework" of a deal with congressional leaders for a temporary extension of the Bush-era tax cuts in all income tax brackets, a compromise which was really the Republican's position all along. Unemployment benefits for long-term jobless would be extended through 2011. The Death-tax rate would be renewed at the previously lower rate temporarily.

House Republican Leader John Boehner's office hailed the announcement. "It’s encouraging that the White House is now willing to stop all of the job-killing tax hikes scheduled for January 1st...We look forward to discussing this proposal with House Republican members and the American people." Boehner spokesman Mike Steel said. [80]

Spain Declares State of Emergency Over Controllers Strike; Nation In Chaos. Hundreds of thousands of angry travelers stranded by an air traffic controllers strike were awaiting a decision by Spain's government Saturday on what action it would take to get the country's air space running again. The controllers abandoned their posts Friday afternoon amid a lengthy dispute over working conditions and after Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero and his ministers approved a package of austerity measures. The dispute intensified in February after the government restricted overtime, cutting the average annual pay of controllers from about €350,000/$465,000! (more than the President of the United States earns!) to around €200,000/$265,000. The average citizen in Spain earns €20,000....

Failing At Home On All Fronts, Obama Flees to Afghanistan.
The surprise visit today came as casualties continue to mount since the Obama administration escalated the war last year, and several high-profile embarrassments concerning president Hamid Karzai have rocked the White House. A spokesperson said rough weather forced the president to abruptly scrap his plans to meet Karzai in the capital of Kabul. In total, Obama was to spend three hours on the ground in Afghanistan, about half the time he had scheduled, after a 14 hour plane flight.

Obama's visit to Afghanistan is his latest trip abroad since he took a beating in the 2010 midterm elections last month. In total Obama has spent nearly 14 days abroad since the election. Before the election, Obama had spent just three days abroad the entire year. The recent burst of activity on the foreign policy front threatens to overshadow the president's promise to shift focus to the economy. [100]

Amazon Pulls The Plug on WikiLeaks. Amazon.com appears to have severed ties with infamous website WikiLeaks, the organization that just released a trove of secret U.S. State Department documents. Voting Twice? New York Ballot Questions in Congressional Race. The closest Congressional race in the nation could be decided by people who don't really live in the district, and a Fox News investigation has uncovered evidence of voter registration illegalities, including at least one voter who apparently voted twice. The candidates, Long Island Democrat incumbent Congressman Tim Bishop and Republican challenger Randy Altschuler, have been as close as just 15 votes apart, out of roughly 180,000 cast in New York's 1st Congressional District. The latest count puts liberal Bishop ahead by about 235 votes. [127]

FBI Arrest Somali-Born Muslim Teen in Tree Lighting Terror Bomb Plot

Domestic terrorism graphic.jpg

Federal agents in a sting operation stopped a Somali-born teenager from blowing up a van full of explosives at a crowded Christmas tree lighting ceremony in Portland, Oregon on Friday. Mohamed Osman Mohamud, 19, was arrested at 5:40 p.m. just after he dialed a cell phone that he thought would detonate the explosives killing thousands, but instead brought federal agents and Portland police swooping down on him. Yelling "Allahu Akbar!" — Arabic for "Allah is the Greatest!" — the terrorist tried to kick agents and police as they closed in. Tea Party Movement Gains Traction in the United Kingdom!

The Tea Party movement's recent electoral gains have gotten international attention, including in the mother country whose taxes inspired the first Tea Party -- the United Kingdom. A new rebellion against big government and high taxes is resonating in Ye Olde England. "Ideas around limited government, absolutely, there's lots of people in Britain who share those as well." says Matthew Sinclair of the Taxpayers' Alliance. The group -- formed in 2004, naturally calling for lower taxes -- is one of the largest in Britain with a Tea Party slant. It boasts some 60,000 supporters. Daniel Finkelstein is the Executive Editor for The Times of London. "I think you may see in Britain what you've seen in the United States, which is a bit of a rebellion against the central party establishment that's fueled, to an extent, by issues." Smashing! [148]

Calling A Shamrock A Shamrock...

A storyline is emerging that seeks to frame the latest instance of government interventionism for yet another bankrupt sovereign state along deliberately disingenuous lines. According to this misleading narrative, Ireland’s abysmal fiscal condition did not come as a result of chronic state overspending, but is instead due to the island nation’s comparatively-low corporate income tax rate. Sound like a familiar song?
On both sides of the ocean there appear to be plenty of Keynesian apologists who believe that economic downturns are always caused by greedy capitalists – never by greedy socialist politicians and government bureaucrats. [149]

More Obama administration Corruption - Taxpayers & Investors Not As Fortunate As UAW.

Moneytrail Newsbusters.jpg

General Motors's recent stock offering was staged to start paying back the government for its $50 billion bailout, but one group made out much better than the taxpayers or other investors: the company's union, the equally corrupt United Auto Workers Union. Taxpayers have recouped only about 30% of their investment -- far ahead of investors in the old GM who have received nothing.

"Priority one was serving the interests of the UAW" when the White House's auto task force engineered the bankruptcy, said Glenn Reynolds, an analyst at CreditSights. The stock offering served to show once again how the White House has handsomely rewarded its (liberal) political allies, he said.' [150]

She could not be the president of Black America nor of Hispanic America. She knows more about grizzlies than she does about African Americans - and she clearly has more interest in the former than the latter."

Progressives and Liberals started the racist Eugenics Movement and carry it forward today through Planned Parenthood and other leftist organizations that are in fact promoting genocide. Estimates are about 50,000 malicious student protesters were out today, angry at college tuition increases, up to threefold. While tripled tuition fees certainly could seem a devastating blow to UK students, it is important to note that such a move would mean that those students would go from paying roughly $5,000 a year (in American dollars) to $14,000 a year...but are means tested, so the poorest would pay far less. Al Gore Publicly Admits He Is A Liar.

Global Warming "Concern Troll" Al Gore reportedly has a "change in heart on ethanol", telling a conference on green energy in Europe that he only supported tax breaks for the alternative fuel to pander to Tennessee and Iowa farmers.

The Media Research Center's Noel Sheppard noted that as vice president, Gore was the tie-breaking vote in 1994 when the Senate voted to authorize ethanol production. Sheppard said that those who question Gore's motives behind the climate change movement that landed the former vice president a Nobel prize and Oscar should also look to his comments on ethanol.

"So more than 10 years ago, Gore supported an expensive, 'not good policy' because he thought it would help him get elected president. Yet media don't believe he'd misrepresent the threat of man-made global warming in order to become extremely rich," Sheppard wrote this morning. [190] & MRC's Original Story Here.

Texas Governor Rick Perry: "Social Security A Ponzi Scheme." Perry takes the Tenth Amendment seriously. Do you? [201]

"Leading atheists, agnostics, and skeptics shared why they lost their religion, or never found it up to begin with" at a convention this weekend in Springfield, Missouri. But at least one Christian attended as a way to strengthen his faith: "it makes me clarify that I am a Christian."[202]

In North Carolina, the public schools soak up 40% of the state's budget. With budget cuts, it "could lose more than 5,300 teachers and all public school classes would be larger under a proposal for education cuts prepared for Gov. Bev Perdue's budget office." [203]

Collectivism vs. America's Future: Franklin Roosevelt’s Democrat/Socialist Party did not end the Depression and restore prosperity, nor did New Deal Keynesian economics prevent or end any other economic recession. Federal intervention in education merely promotes that mythology. [212]

Judge Halts Alaska Election Certification. Alaska federal judge rules that GOP Senate candidate Joe Miller's challenge to the counting of write-in ballots raises 'serious' legal issues but is a matter for state, not federal, court to decide. Yet in deferring to an Alaska state court for a final decision, U.S. District Judge Ralph Beistline said he would grant a temporary injunction to halt official certification of the Nov. 2 election -- an action Miller is seeking -- so long as Miller takes his case to the state court by Monday. Miller told The Associated Press late Friday that he intended to do so. [213]

Unmarried women, since Roe v. Wade, have typically backed Democrat candidates – attracted by their pro-choice positions – by between 10-20% in each election. Pollster John McLaughlin – one of the best – noted that “The Republican candidates for Congress had a 12-point advantage among men (53-41) and a 7-point advantage among women (50-43).” This finding is historic. [214]

"CNN's Kathleen Parker bizarrely and inaccurately claimed that Alexander Hamilton came to the United States illegally and drafted the Constitution: 'Let's remember...a lot of Americans did come through the back door such as Alexander Hamilton. He got off the boat from the West Indies, and all he did was write the Constitution and become the first Secretary of the Treasury.'" [215]

Thermometers Plunging In Hell: An illuminating, thoughtful and basically fair portrait of Sarah Palin in the New York Times? Yes! In order to "make up" for this article, look for the liberal media, and especially the N.Y. Times, to drag her through the mud again. Only this time most people won't be fooled by their tactics. [218]

Another liberal double standard: the lamestream media are just fine with Joe Biden's offensive remark to Afghanistan: "Daddy is Going to Start to Take the Training Wheels Off." [219] To liberals, the moronic Biden is "loquacious" rather than gaffe-prone.

A Vote Of Not Much Confidence in Nancy Pelosi. History will record that Nancy Pelosi won her bid to remain House Democratic leader by a comfortable margin. Gitmo Detainee Not Guilty on Most Charges; Verdict Body-Blow to Obama Terror Trial Plans.

Barack-obama-liar-1.jpg

The stunning verdict is a huge blow to the Obama administration’s push for putting terrorists on trial in civilian courts. Republicans and key Democrats, especially those representing New York City, have argued against placing the trial of 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheik Mohammed there. Meanwhile other lawmakers in states like Michigan have rejected the notion of placing al-Qaida terrorists in federal prisons. The Obama administration has waffled on the matter, but a key promise of Barack Hussein Obama’s 2008 campaign was the closing of the terrorist detainee facility at Guantanamo Naval Station in Cuba.
