Live Aid was a pair of concerts held on July 13, 1985 in London (at Wembley Stadium) and Philadelphia (at J.F.K. Stadium) to raise funds to fight the famine and drought in Africa, especially Ethiopia. The concert was the most-watched television event in the world, and its legacy can still be seen in such projects like Live 8 and Live Earth.
