Kåre Isaachsen Willoch (born October 3, 1928) is a Norwegian politician for the Conservative Party. His first experience in government was as Minister of Trade in John Lyng's cabinet in 1963, and later also in the same position in Per Borten's cabinet 1965–1970. He was party leader from 1970 to 1974, and Prime Minister of Norway from 1981 to 1986, both preceded and succeded by Gro Harlem Brundtland from the Labor Party.
