Juche, a derivative of Communism, is the official state ideology of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, better known as North Korea.[1] The late North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Il had a strong cult of personality, and North Korean children were taught to revere him from a young age. For instance, the first phrase North Korean children were supposed to learn from their parents is "Thank you, Father Kim Il-Sung”. The Juche ideology is the political program of the Workers' Party of Korea.
