John III Sobieski

John III Sobieski, (Polish: Jan III Sobieski) (1629 – 1696) is probably the most famous monarch of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, which he ruled from 1674 until his death as a King of Poland and a Grand Duke of Lithuania. He led the relief of Vienna, and there, defeated the Turks in the Battle of Vienna in 1683.
