Joe Rogan

Joseph James Rogan (born August 11, 1967) is an American radio and podcast host, comedian, UFC color commentator, and entertainer. He has hosted The Joe Rogan Experience podcast since 2009, the most-streamed podcast on Spotify.^[1] He is also an actor, game show host, television host, and retired martial artist. He is from New Jersey. Animal rights activists, environmentalists, and eugenicists have criticized him for making jokes about their lifestyles. Gamers have also attacked him for criticizing video game addiction.^[2]^[3]^[4]

Political views

Rogan can be described as an anti-establishment libertarian. He endorsed Republican candidate Ron Paul in the 2012 Presidential election, and voted for Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson in the 2016 Presidential election. He endorsed Bernie Sanders during the 2020 Democrat primary. The endorsement was accepted by Sanders, but some supporters expressed concern^[5]. Rogan would later vote for Libertarian candidate Jo Jorgensen instead.^[6]

Rogan is highly critical of Joe Biden, and often acknowledges that President Trump was much better.

Rogan holds some arguably right-leaning views, such as support for gun rights and the Second Amendment, as well as criticism of cancel culture, media bias and political correctness. He was also heavily attacked by liberals for his rebellious attitude on Covid-19 and his promotion of Ivermectin, which he was prescribed when he had the virus. Because of this, he is popular among many conservatives; however, he describes himself as socially liberal,^[7] and supports homosexual "rights", feminism, universal health care, recreational use of drugs and marijuana.

Controversies

On top of his defiant rhetoric on the China virus, Rogan is also hated by liberals for his provocative comedy, as well as his previous use of offensive language, resulting in many attempts to cancel him.^[8] In 2022, a video resurfaced of Joe Rogan comparing a black neighborhood to Planet of the Apes.^[9]

Podcast controversy

Rogan was widely criticized for giving Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey a softball interview.^[10]^[11]^[12]^[13]

When Rogan moved his podcast to Spotify, fans noted that a number of episodes featuring controversial figures had been removed.^[14]

Liberal hypocrisy

As leftists mob unleashed an attack against Rogan to be booted off Spotify in January and February 2022 for "misinformation" after he interviewed Dr. Robert Malone, who was critical of leftist tyranny and the Covid coverup,^[15] liberal hypocrisy^[16] was on full display, as explained here by PJ Media's Robert Spencer:^[17]

And if the offending speaker is a member of a group with enough victimhood privilege, he or she won’t be punished at all, as the career of Mehdi Hasan indicates.

Mehdi Hasan is a hate-filled far-Left MSNBC host who espouses fashionable Big Lies such as the claim that “white supremacy is now a key ideology of the Republican Party” and “the far-right domestic terror threat is more dangerous than even Al Qaeda after 9/11.” During the Whoopi Goldberg controversy, remarks that Hasan made in 2009 resurfaced, leading many to question why Hasan’s star has consistently risen in the Leftist media, despite his manifest hatred and contempt for non-Muslims. Hasan, a Shi’ite, said of the early Sunni caliph Yazid: “All of these ulama unanimously agree that at the very minimum if Yazid was not a Kaffir [unbeliever] — then at the very minimum he was a fasiq, a transgressor, a breaker of Islamic laws, a corrupt individual, a tyrant, a killer, a drunkard, a dog lover, a music lover, a homosexual, a pedophile, a sexual deviant, someone who slept with his own mother.”
