The Book of Matthew is the first book of the four gospels in the New Testament, and is the first to have been written. This gospel is believed to have been written by 70 A.D, and, as with the four other gospels, chronicals the life and works of Jesus. The earliest found manuscripts of Matthew are written in Greek, making it clear that Matthew's native tounge was Greek.
