Hugh Hefner
Hugh Hefner (April 9, 1926 – September 27, 2017), a 1949 University of Illinois psychology graduate, was best known as 1953 founder and editor-in-chief of Playboy magazine that generally reflects a liberal editorial stance. Hefner promoted the "Playboy Philosophy" of self-centered hedonism for men and second-class citizenship for women (as men's playthings or "pets"). He was as much an arch-enemy of chastity and fidelity as Alfred Kinsey.
Hugh Hefner was an atheist (see also: Celebrity atheists).[1] and self-described father of the sexual revolution.[2] In addition, despite his actions in dehumanizing women and objectifying them, he was considered by the feminist movement and the National Organization for Women as one of its staunchest defenders.[3][4] In 1993, Hefner identified himself as "bisexual."[2][5]
