The gay "rights" movement seeks to provide equal rights for LGBT+ people as they are discriminated against (and even killed in some cases) for their gender or sexual orientation. The gay "rights" movement demands equal rights for LGBT+ people. It does not claim that LGBT+ people are inherently better than cisgender heterosexual people; it is just asking for equal treatment. Homosexuality isn't a choice, so stop pretending like it is. LGBT+ people, if given the choice, would not choose to be judged, discriminated against, and even killed for their identities. Homophobia kills. In 2018, there were a total of 7,120 hate crimes against LGBT+ citizens in the United States. In 2020, 21 transgender people have already died as a result of hate crimes based on gender orientation. That's just the tip of the iceberg. So many LGBT hate crimes go unreported, or are not investigated as the police work for a corrupt system that does not care for minorities. Fun Fact: Leviticus 18:22 was actually a mistranslation. The word "homosexual" was not a word in Hebrew at the time that the Bible was written. That was changed in the 1970s in order to justify homophobia within the Christian faith. In fact, the original translation, as translated into German by Martin Luther, translates to "Du sollst nicht beim Knaben liegen wie beim Weibe; denn es ist ein Greuel," which means "You shall not lie with a youth (or boy) as with a woman/wife; for it is an abomination" in English. Stop pushing your homophobic agenda in the name of Christ. Even if the Bible did say that LGBT+ people are horrible in the eyes of God (which it doesn't), rape and adultery were absolutely prohibited in the Bible (see Deuteronomy 22:25 and Leviticus 20:10, respectfully), but I still see your president cheating on his wives and raping young women. You also can't eat cheeseburgers (or anything that mixes dairy and meat according to Exodus 23:19), but I see you all grilling every weekend. You also can't try to convert people into another religion (Deuteronomy 13:1), but I see you all pushing your Christian agenda to try to convert others. Tattoes are also forbidden (Leviticus 19:28), but you all get the Confederate flag tattooed on your arms. My point is, just because something is in the Bible does not make it right. You all have no problem with ignoring all of the laws mentioned above, but when it comes to gay people (which wouldn't even be accurate as Leviticus 18:22 was, again, a mistranslation), you all are fine with pushing your homophobic agenda in the name of Christ. Would Jesus be okay with you hating others under his name? I don't think so. God loves all of his children, and would love to see them all have equal rights. Stop being a bigoted, homophobic pig and educate yourself.
