Henry VIII lived 28 June 1491–28 January 1547 AD. He was King of England and Lord of Ireland from 22 April 1509 until his death. He was the second monarch of the Tudor dynasty.

Henry is most famous for his six wives, and his split from the Roman Catholic Church in 1534. He established a new church, the Church of England that same year.
