Grigory Yevseevich Zinoviev (September 1883 – August 25, 1936) was a Bolshevik revolutionary and a Soviet Communist politician. Zinoviev is best known as the head of the Communist International for many years and the architect of several failed attempts to turn Germany into a communist country during the early 1920s. He once bragged that "we [the Communists] could annihilate a whole social class!" He also was a comrade of Vladimir Lenin, as well as a homosexual lover.[1]
