Gina Raimondo (born May 17, 1971) is an American Democrat Party politician who is currently the 75th governor of Rhode Island. Prior to being elected governor, she served as the state treasurer. Raimondo is a liberal in most senses of the word, and although she sometimes speaks of spending cuts, she generally follows the standard liberal agenda.[2][3]
