George Frideric Handel (1685 - 1759) (German: Georg Friedrich Händel) was a German-born composer and organist. His works fall within the Baroque era of Western Classical music. Handel was, during his lifetime, perhaps the most internationally famous of all musicians. [1] The legacy of Handel may be found in the dramatic power and lyrical beauty inherent in his music.
