Gendercide refers to an abortion as a result of knowing the gender of the baby. Many pro-abortion people are women that are determined to uphold that a choice is theirs if they wish to carry a child or kill a life in the womb. Estimates in 1990 have 100 million females being aborted worldwide due to gendercide.[1] Three forces contribute to gendercide; ancient preference for a male offspring, wanting a small family, and ultrasound technology. Gendercide exists on almost every continent and the cumulative consequence for societies of such individual actions is catastrophic. Besides the needless destruction of life, crime rates increase, bride trafficking, sexual violence, even female suicide rates are all rising and will rise further as the lopsided generations reach their maturity. In China and northern India more than 120 boys are being born for every 100 girls.
