The El Paso Walmart shooting occurred August 3, 2019, when a lone shooter killed 22 people and injured 26. The perpetrator, Patrick Crusius, was a leftwing white supremacist. He is described by classmates who knew him as "soulless" and a "gamer". It was the first of two violent leftist mass murders in a 24 hour period that claimed a total of 31 lives with over 50 injured committed by registered Democrats and advocates of socialism. A second attack occurred in Dayton, Ohio by a member of Antifa.

His manifesto, which promoted several left-wing views,[2][3] cited advice from the violent video game Call of Duty.[4]

The perpetrator opposed legal immigration, claiming it hampers building a socialist society. Contrary to left-wing claims, the perpetrator was radicalized long before Donald Trump became U.S. president.[5]

Manifesto

The perpetrator posted a progressive manifesto to 8chan entitled An Inconvenient Truth, explaining his reasons. The manifesto opens by paying homage to the New Zealand mosque shooter who described himself as a "green nationalist" and "eco-fascist." The perpetrator makes clear he opposes economic growth and favors a "sustainable," or rationed allocation of resources. The main theme is futuristic automation. The manifesto is an anti-corporate screed that praises automation for reducing the need for immigrant labor and hope for of a universal basic income. Immigrants, both legal and illegal, he accuses of competing for a UBI while driving up college costs and hampering passage of universal healthcare. He accuses immigrants of adding to the already burdensome problem of re-cycling plastics and as well as paper products which is causing deforestation. None of these positions can be described as "right wing". Neither are racism and intolerance exclusively rightwing positions.

Nowhere does the perpetrator use the terms "illegal immigrant" or "illegal immigration."

The perpetrator wrote,[6]

  • "The inconvenient truth is that our leaders, both Democrat AND Republican, have been failing us for decades. They are either complacent or involved in one of the biggest betrayals of the American public in our history. The takeover of the United States government by unchecked corporations."
  • "America will have to initiate a basic universal income to prevent widespread poverty and civil unrest as people lose their jobs.."
  • "Achieving ambitious social projects like universal healthcare and UBI would become far more likely to succeed if tens of millions of dependents are removed."
  • "immigration will make one of the biggest issues of our time, automation, so much worse. Some sources say that in under two decades, half of American jobs will be lost to it."
  • "our lifestyle Is destroying the environment of our country. The decimation of the environment is creating a massive burden for future generations. Corporations are heading the destruction of our environment by shamelessly overharvesting resources."
  • "Consumer culture is creating thousands of tons of unnecessary plastic waste and electronic waste, and recycling to help slow this down is almost non-existent.... We even use god knows how many trees worth of paper towels just wipe water off our hands. ... The government is unwilling to tackle these issues beyond empty promises since they are owned by corporations. Corporations that also like immigration because more people means a bigger market for their products. ... So the next logical step is to decrease the number of people in America using resources. If we can get rid of enough people, then our way of life can become more sustainable. "
  • "This will also make the elites that run corporations realize that it’s not in their interest to continue piss off Americans. Corporate America doesn’t need to be destroyed, but just shown that they are on the wrong side of history."
  • "the idea of deporting or murdering all non-white Americans is horrific. Many have been here at least as long as the whites, and have done as much to build our country. The best solution to this for now would be to divide America into a confederacy of territories with at least one territory for each race. "
  • "I know that the media will probably call me a white supremacist anyway and blame Trump’s rhetoric. The media is infamous for fake news. Their reaction to this attack will likely just confirm that."

The 21-year-old unemployed perpetrator's reasoning is in line with the advocacy of Democrat presidential candidate Andrew Yang of the extreme position for a universal income. The attack on consumer culture and the lack of plastic re-cycling came just days after it was announced that President Trump raised $500,000 for his re-election by selling plastic straws.[7] The perpetrator goes on to complain about student loan debt, and the lack of job opportunities for young people - the hallmark of young people who grew up the Obama era. The perpetrator wrote,

  • "The cost of college degrees has exploded as their value has plummeted. This has led to a generation of indebted, overqualified students filling menial, low-paying, and unfulfilling jobs.[8] Of course, these migrants and their children have contributed to the problem, but are not the sole cause of it."

These fears and sentiments are totally in line with the basic platform and appeals made by Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders to young people.

Democrat presidential candidates Beto O'Rourke, Julian Castro, both from Texas, as well as Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren and the Democratic National Committee were quick to twist facts and exploit the tragedy for fundraising and an anti-gun agenda before funerals for the dead took place. Sen. Bernie Sanders has already gone on record allowing the perpetrator, if convicted, to retain voting rights.[9]

Video games

BuzzFeed reported Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick saying,
"You know, in this manifesto that we believe is from the shooter, this manifesto, he talks about living out his super-soldier fantasy on Call of Duty. We know that the video game industry is bigger than the movie industry and the music industry combined, and there have been studies that say it impacts people and studies that says it does not, but I look at the common denominators, as a 60-some-year-old father and grandfather myself, what's changed in this country? We've always had guns, we’ve always had evil. But what's changed where we see this rash of shooting? And I see a video game industry that teaches young people to kill."[10]

Liberals, who tried to blame President Trump for violence, when confronted with the fact that the attacker himself cited his inspiration from video games, suddenly claimed each individual is responsible for their own actions.

The Antifa terror organization has circulated a promotional image showing border enforcement officers being killed and government property fired bombed to encourage black shirts to converge on El Paso for "direct action."[11] Lt. Gov. Patrick has warned members of the violent fascist organization to "Stay out of Texas."[12]

Aftermath

MyLife is an American information brokerage founded in 2002 as Reunion.com. MyLife gathers personal information through public records and other sources to automatically generate a “MyLife Public Page” for each person, described by MyLife as a “complete Wikipedia-like biography on every American.”

At the time of the attack, Patrick Crasius' MyLife biography read "Patrick's political affiliation is currently a registered Democrat Party; ethnicity is Caucasian; and religious views are listed as Christian."

At 2:50 PM after the attack his profile was changed to read "Before becoming a mas shooter/murderer, Patrick was a registered Republican, Evangelical Christian, former campaign worker for Donald Trump, QANON conspiracy theorist, and INCEL," His ethnicity was changed to African American and religion to Atheist.

At 2:52 PM it was changed again to read "Republican, QANON member, and NRA member. His racist manifesto has already been found online and despite the GOP's desperate editing of the webpage, is one of yours. Another white male Republican responsible for yet another mass killing with a gun made for military use."[13]

Crasius's MyLife profile, which was later discovered to have only been created after his arrest by El Paso police,[1] was changed several times over the next few hours by the leftists who created the profile in a flimsy attempt to suit their false narrative of the shooter being "right-wing".
