Ego is the āIā or self of any person; a person as thinking, feeling, and willing, and distinguishing itself from the selves of others and from objects of its thought. It is used frequently in the term "big ego" or "bruised ego". The former refers to a narcissistic person, and the latter to someone trying to reclaim their ego after a mistake of some kind.
