The Democratic Freedom Caucus is a small libertarian caucus within the Democratic Party. Its purpose is to try to guide the Democratic Party toward more libertarian political positions and to try to elect libertarian candidates using the Democratic Party as an electoral vehicle. They have had little success at either. Unlike the larger Republican Liberty Caucus they do not yet count any elected officials at the national level as members or supporters. Their success thus far has been confined to the state level in a few states like New Hampshire. Freedom Democrats is a closely-related blog run by DFC supporters.
