Delia Smith (born Woking, 1941) is a popular British television cook and author. She became a cookery writer for newspapers and magazines in 1961, and hosted her first television series in 1973. Her first cookery book, published in 1971, was called How to Cheat at Cooking; a revised edition is shortly to be issued.

Delia Smith is a covert to Roman Catholicism, and, with her husband Michael Wynne-Jones, is majority shareholder of Norwich City Football Club.
