Decency is the state of being clothed in company. Decent is a virtue and means respectable, worthy or conforming to accepted standards of propriety, good taste or modesty. It may also mean reaching a level that is slightly better than fair or adequate (e.g. "he received a decent wage") or imply a level of generosity or kindness (e.g. "that was very decent of him").
