David Cicilline (born July 15, 1961 in Providence, Rhode Island) served as Mayor of Providence, Rhode Island and is the Democratic U.S. Representative from Rhode Island's 1st congressional district, succeeding retiring Patrick Kennedy. Cicilline was endorsed by the Marxist Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) organization. He is a homosexual.
