Cultural relativism

Cultural relativism argues that there is no superior, international, or universal morality, that the moral and ethical rules of all cultures deserve equal respect, and that behavior in one culture should not be judged by the standards of another culture. It also rejects the concept of [teleology], and that proposes that human culture does not develop towards some final goal, but is merely a response to physical conditions and historical traditions.
Cultural relativism is a core tenet of cultural [anthropology], as it allows human societies to be studied objectively and scientifically, allowing a better understanding of how human society develops and the implications for future societies.
