Corruption is, in politics and business, abusing one's position to enrich or otherwise advance oneself or one's friends or relatives. Bribery and nepotism are common forms of corruption.

In morality, it refers to the subversion of moral principle for ulterior motives.

Corruption and liberalism

Corruption is a defining feature of liberal politicians, as they deny any absolute morality and do as they see fit. During the Clinton years, the administration saw a record quantity of corruption. "The Clintons, to adapt a line from Dr. Johnson, were not only corrupt, they were the cause of corruption in others."[1]

In December 2008, Illinois governor, Democrat Rod Blagojevich was arrested on corruption charges. He had attempted to sell Barack Obama's vacant senate seat to the highest bidder, and threatened to withhold funding from a children's hospital.[2]
