Richard Dawkins is, perhaps, the world's most prominent atheist and evolutionist. He has gained a large following of fellow atheists, agnostics, evolutionists, and liberals. Dawkins is commonly cited by evolutionists and atheists in their flimsy defenses of their liberal falsehoods. While the ardent followers of Dawkins claim to be atheists, they have, ironically enough, deified Richard Dawkins, effectively holding him as a demigod, if not their outright god. Through Dawkins' staunch assault on creation, religion, and God, and his incessant defense of atheism and evolution, Richard Dawkins' fans maintain a cultic obsession with him.

Many close minded atheists have understandably clung to Dawkins in their blasphemies against God and Christianity. Atheists fear the Word of the Bible regarding blasphemy:

Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. Matthew 12:31-32 (KJV)

The harsh, yet direct words of the Bible strike fear into atheists, and their blasphemes against the Holy Spirit. Atheists feel as if they cannot be forgiven for what they have thought, or said against God. The feeling of despair the atheists feel is comforted through Dawkins and his reinforcement of their false belief system. He offers an alternative to religion; the atheist does not need to fear about his blasphemy or Hell, and instead dedicates himself to tearing apart Christian traditions and morality. Although Dawkins provides comfort to these atheists, he is by no means an effective comfort. This is made obvious through atheistic hyperbole regarding religion; rather than accept the truth of the Bible, atheists proclaim against it the loudest, as if silencing the Word will somehow make it less true. Their bold, yet false, proclamations creates a circular nature of harm in atheists. When an atheist feels as if God is right their watching his actions, they overcompensate through even more vicious assaults on God, with Richard Dawkins commanding them to do so. With the "comfort" Dawkins provides to these poor souls, the atheists inevitably listen to every word Dawkins says, and follow him into believing in evolution.

By the time an atheist has come to deny the existence of God, he has also come to accept evolution. This is where Dawkins gets his most ardent and obsessive followers. As Dawkins preaches atheistic falsehood, he also preaches the myth of evolution. His loyal followers hang to every word Dawkins spews about evolution; they NEVER question his word. Although Dawkins has been evolutionarily stumped[1], and lost a debate to Rabbi Boteach[2] , atheists still cling to his teachings without question.

Richard Dawkins fans do have a cultic obsession with him. He is more than just a man to the atheist movement, he is ironically the god of the atheist movement. Despite the so-called "atheistic skepticism," Dawkins is help above criticism to his fans. He is not a small, aging, man to them, he is their golden calf.
