Conquest's Third Law

Conquest's Third Law predicts the often-liberal conduct of an organization. This Law states that the simplest way to explain its conduct is by assuming that it is or will be controlled by a secret cabal of its enemies.

This Law was formulated by Sovietologist Robert Conquest. An example of this law is the post-war British secret servce.[1]
