Chain conspiracy

In criminal law, a chain conspiracy consists of several parties acting as links in one long criminal enterprise. Each party is then legally accountable and responsible for the actions of everyone else in the chain, even if they never met each other.

When some parties in a criminal conspiracy do not know each other, then this is the most common type of conspiracy charged. The less common type of conspiracy is a hub-and-spoke conspiracy.
