Casting Crowns is a contemporary Christian/Christian rock band from McDonough, Georgia.

The band's current lineup consists of Mark Hall, Melodee DeVevo, Juan DeVevo, Josh Mix, Chris Huffman, Brian Scoggin, and Megan Garrett.

They are notable in that they never sought a record contract initially (being content to serve in their churches; for example, lead singer Mark Hall is a youth minister at Eagle's Landing First Baptist Church in McDonough[1]), but the lead singer for country group Sawyer Brown signed them to a contract after hearing one of their independent releases. Also, in order to serve in their churches' Sunday and Wednesday services, the group usually tours only on Thursday through Saturday.
