California v. Texas was a Supreme Court case that once again upheld Obamacare. The majority opinion, written by Stephen Breyer, upheld Obamacare, claiming that the states lacked standing to sue. The states had argued that since the individual mandate had been repealed under Donald Trump's presidency and it was unconstitutional, the entire law was technically unconstitutional. The justices that decided to uphold it were: Breyer, Elena Kagan, Sonia Sotomayor, Brett Kavanaugh, Clarence Thomas, Amy Coney Barrett, and John Roberts, while Samuel Alito and Neil Gorsuch dissented. Gorsuch argued that the law was "clearly unconstitutional", and criticized the court for bailing out Obamacare for the third time.[1]
