Multiple published studies have shown a striking correlation between a zinc deficiency in a patient and the severity of his reaction to COVID-19. This suggests that boosting one's zinc levels, as in taking zinc supplements which are available without a prescription, can help prevent against a severe reaction to COVID-19.

Many of the co-morbidities for COVID-19, such as old age, obesity, and diabetes, are correlated with zinc deficiencies.
