Braille is a system of lettering composed of raised bumps that is read through touch rather than sight, allowing blind people to read. These bumps are arranged in six "cells" of two vertical columns. That means there are six bumps in various possible combinations for every symbol.

Learning to Read Braille

The right hand is used for reading. Going first, the pinky and then the ring finger of the right hand are laid in the space above the particular line to be read and then these two guide the hand rightwards. At this time, then, the index finger is laid gently. on the configuration of the six bumps.
