The Bilataria are one of the two basic groups of the Metazoans, the other being Radiata.

Bilataria are characterised by having a two-fold symmetry - front and back, left and right body surfaces. They also develop from three embryonic tissue layers, namely the inner endoderm, middle mesoderm and the outermost ectoderm.
