Benjamin Franklin Shively (1857 - 1916) was a United States Representative and United States Senator from Indiana. Shively was elected in 1884 as a member of the progressive National Anti-Monopolist Party after the resignation of William Henry Calkins. He was later reelected on the Democratic ticket and served in the House from 1887-1893. After an unsuccessful run for governor he became a United States Senator in 1909 and served until his death in 1916.[1]
