Automobile freedom
From Conservapedia
Automobile freedom is a movement to defend right to liberty in transportation by affordable automobiles, which is jeopardized by environmentalists, socialists, energy trolls, and others.
As observed by Loram Lomansky in 1997:[1]
| “ | the value of automobility is strongly complementary to other core values of our culture, such as freedom of association, pursuit of knowledge, economic advancement, privacy, even the expression of religious commitments and love. | ” |
Alexander “Sasha” Volokh of the Volokh Conspiracy has also linked automobile freedom to overall liberty: "Driving is a liberating technology, and we ought to recognize this, especially as we approach Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday."[2]
