Anthony E. Gonzalez (born September 18, 1984) is an American politician and former American football wide receiver. A member of the Republican Party, he has served as the U.S. Representative for Ohio's 16th congressional district since 2019. He played college football at Ohio State, where he studied philosophy. He was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the first round of the 2007 NFL Draft. Following his sports career, he enrolled in graduate studies at Stanford University and earned a master's degree.
He voted to impeach President Donald Trump.[1]
The Ohio GOP has since voted to censure him.[2]
