Anna Paulina Luna

Anna Paulina Luna (née Mayerhofer; born May 6, 1989) is an American politician and U.S. Air Force veteran from Republican Party. She is newly elected US House congresswoman from Florida 13th district. She is elected in 2022 midterm election after defeating Democrat candidate Eric Lynn.

Early life and education

Luna was born in 1989 in Santa Ana, California. Luna's mother is of Mexican descent while her father is of Mexican and German descent. Her father was absent and she was raised by her mother in Los Angeles. She attended six different high schools before graduating. At the age of 19, Luna enlisted in the United States Air Force, where she served as an airfield manager at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri and then in Florida. She earned an Air Force Achievement Medal before being honorably discharged in 2014. In 2017, Luna earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of West Florida.
