John Aaron Denson, known as Aaron Denson (born October 18, 1972), has been since 2015 the pastor of the large Arden Road Baptist Church, an Independent Baptist congregation in Amarillo in the Texas Panhandle.
Denson was reared in a Christian home and accepted Jesus Christ at the age of fifteen in San Angelo, Texas, where he graduated from high school. He then attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. After graduation in 1995, he interned at the Eastland Baptist Church, an Independent congregation, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, under Dave Hardy, who retired as the Eastland pastor after thirty years of service. In 1997, he was called as the youth pastor at the Arden Road Baptist Church, a position that he held under the since retired pastor, Dale Bigham. Arden Road ordained Denson and sent him to pastor the Highland Baptist Church in Hobbs, New Mexico, where he remained until 2008, when he succeeded the late Kevin O'Brien as pastor of Bethany Baptist Church in Lubbock, Texas, established in 1973 by founding pastor Ross Spencer. When Bigham retired from the Arden Road pastorate after thirty-four years, Denson was called as the successor pastor. His assistant pastor is Cody Allen; music minister, Stephen Jones.
