2020 Armenia-Azerbaijan Conflict

The 2020 Armenia-Azerbaijan Conflict refers to ongoing border skirmishes between Armenia and Azerbaijan over the Nagorno-Karabakh region.[1]

Russia called for an immediate ceasefire and another regional power, Turkey, said that it would support Azerbaijan. The European Union urged both sides to stop military actions and return to negotiations.

In April 2016 at least 200 people were killed in a flare-up of the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan who fought a war in 1990s at the time of the breakup of the Soviet Union.
