I also cannot find any neutral sources that empirically support the claims: 1: Abortion causes psychological issues, 2: Spain's leading cause of death was abortion (In-fact I found a 92 page European Union report on women's health, which talks of abortion in Spain on page 43. http://ec.europa.eu/health/population_groups/docs/women_report_en.pdf). Adoption isn't always a viable alternative, especially in the cases of rape, incest, severe birth defects, and injuries to the mother. Imagine if you found out your child had a birth defect that rendered it's lifespan less than a year. Would you want to make that child suffer a extremely painful and short existence. I know I wouldn't. I cannot find anywhere that touts the 1.5 million families looking to adopt.
